The annual Mid-Winter Get-Together will be held on Saturday, from 10 am. until 3 pm. As usual there is no formal program, just a chance to get out of the house and fellowship with fellow Rough & Tumblers to "chew the fat". Everyone is encouraged to bring models and other projects, complete or not, crafts, any photos from trips or past shows (R & T and elsewhere), or other interesting stuff. The Line Shaft Shop, Large Gas, Blacksmith Shop, Model Shop and Steam building will be opened. There will be a fire pit setup outside. Coffee will be available in the Kitchen and Model shop in the morning. R&T will be hosting a "pot-luck" lunch so bring a food dish and join them at the R&T Kitchen at Noon. You won't go away hungry. So, shake off those winter blues, and come on out! Please dress warm. Snow date Feb 17th.
There will be a garden tractor pull Friday April 56th at the Rough and Tumble pulling track. Everyone will enter and exit the event from the rear (North Gate). The weigh in starts at 4 pm the pull starts at 6 pm. For weigh in/ registration. Everyone will weight their garden tractors at the scale and park them. Then they we take the card they get at the scale with their weight class over to the pulling shed where they will finish their registration. Each pull is $10. Everyone must be a member as per usual. If someone is not a member, membership cards will be available for purchase in the pulling shed during registration. 2025 Memberships Individual $25.00 Family: $40.00 (Parents & Children 16 and under) Lifetime: $250.00
Rough and Tumble has started the first Gas Engine School offered anywhere in the US for the operation, safety, and care of gas engines. Students will operate and learn about engines from our unique oldest gas engine in the US, the Otto and Langen built in 1867 to our large 485 hp Cooper engine.
Students with also run the O&L, Cooper, Twin Miller, 3 ball Klein, 15 HP Reid and some small engines as well. There is so much to learn between anything from ignition to timing of these industrial beautiful engines of the age.
The Volunteers that take care of these engines are several of the most knowledgeable people in the use of these engines. The School will be held Saturday and Sunday 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Saturday is the practical class and engine running basics. Sunday students will run engines. Come out to the pulling track and watch antique and classic gas tractors complete pulling down the track. Gates Open 8:00 AM. Tractor weigh-in starts at 8-10 am. Tractor Pull starts at 10 am. There will be food truck at the track. FREE ADMISSION!

The highlights, Always a Crowd Pleaser, is Plowing with both Steam and Gas Tractors (plowing to be held only if weather is favorable to plow). On Display and in Operation will be Steam and Gas Engines, Steam and Gas Tractors, Antique Cars, Model Shop, Sawmill, Two Steam Trains, Blacksmith Shop plus more!
Spring Steam-Up is a special event. It's time to get the steam engines out of hibernation and fire them up. Better yet, it is plowing season, and again weather permitting, both steam and gas powered tractors may be seen plowing in the fields adjacent to the R & T grounds. Along with the gas and steam powered tractor pulls, there were many opportunities to see these engines working under a load! There will be a tractor pull Friday evening with weigh in at 4-6 pm. and pulling starting at 6 pm.

Steam School will be held the weekend after Spring Steam-Up. Students register for school at the Time of Harvest Show. The school is limited to the first 24 applicants, age 14 and over and school fills quickly. Tuition is $100.
Emphasis is placed on safety, maintenance, operation, and the hands-on experience. Class time is limited to half of the first day, with remaining time dedicated to practical, hands-on operation, including cleaning, inspection, maintenance, and operation of numerous steam traction engines. Operating and conditions permitting, students also may operate 2 railroad engines (The Shay and Little Toot) and more.
This annual show is sponsored by the Waterloo Boys Club of Southeastern Pennsylvania. See a Wide Range of John Deere Tractors with Deere History and Tractor Pulling Events. Watch the John Deere Parade of Power both days with many different and unique models. On Saturday there will be the Garden Tractor Parade and Pull. On Saturday there will be a Kiddy Pedal Pull. Don't forget the Raffle Tractor Drawing!

The Annual Membership Meeting and banquet will take place at R&T. Date: Saturday - September 27, 2025 Time: Gate opens at 11:00am. 12:15-12:30 Presidents 'Welcome Everyone' followed by a Blessing for the Day and Singing of the National Anthem. Food to be served at approximately 2:00-2:30. Annual meeting 1:00 in Kitchen area. Ticket Price: $22.00 adults and $11.00 10 and and younger, tickets are limited to 300 so get your tickets now. Come join in on our final show of the year celebrating "A Time of Harvest". Special events will be held for children on Saturday including the Pedal Tractor Pull, Harvest Rides, and other events for children including Pumpkin Face Painting and a Barrel Train Ride. Rough and Tumble equipment will be in operation from steam trains, gas engines, and the model shops to steam traction engines, and more. Antique and Classic Tractor pulls weigh in Fri 4-6 pm. and pulling starting at 6 pm.

Oct 265h and Oct 26th. Start time 9:00 am both days. Park in front (south lot) and walk in. Lunch is on your own, you can bring your own or there are some nearby fast food places. Bottled spring water will be provided. Saturday is the beginner’s class led by John Sturgis and students will be forging three items, a bottle opener, a leaf for your key ring and a wall sconce candle holder. On Sunday, the class will be led by Dave Kauffman. Projects will be a towel rack and a toilet paper holder. Participants must be a member of Rough and Tumble. The class size is limited to 10 students and the cost of each class is $50.
