Old Scanned B&W Photos of R & T recently found, more to come!
Photos for this album were found in the gift shop and scanned to be shared. The photos show how barren R & T was when the Shay first arrived. Note the single passenger car. The original toot was green in color before the last restoration and rebuild.
Rough and Tumble's Little Toot, shown at left at the 2000 Fall Harvest Day, has been renovated. At the right we have the boiler and the running gear after being torn down in November, 2000. Allen Gruver provided this great set of photos of the disassembly, repair, painting and reassembly of Toot.
Notice the old barn and silo near the farm house. An album below shows the removal of the barn and structure near by.
Reunion Group Photos of R & T Officers and Directors. Since 1949, there have been hundreds of Officers and Directors that have directed the growth of this very successful organization.
Removal of Old Barn, Out Building and Silo 1997-1998 for New Harvest Building. These photos were found in the gift shop and scanned by John Johnson to document R & T history.
In 2003, Rough and Tumble's Board made the decision to replace the badly worn billboard sign that faces westbound traffic on Route 30. This often the first impression visitors headed our way get of Rough and Tumble. The sign is not only new, and painted on metal panels, but it is also a new design.
June 30th and July 1st 2000, Horse Progress Days were held at R & T
Photos from Rough and Tumble 1978 Threshermen's Reunion restored found in attic of house purchased by Deb and Jeff Steinhardt.
So many of us today come from families that had working farms. Rough and Tumble is a place where we can keep those memories alive among all the farming families with working farms surrounding Rough and Tumble today. Attached are a few memories from my family that makes R&T so special for me.
