With the COVID19 pandemic nationwide and the PA Lockdown of Non-Essential Businesses, 2020 Steam  School will be postponed until May 15th and 16th, 2021. If Students cannot make the 2021 school, we will put you in a future school.

This is for the safety of all the students and instructors at Rough and Tumble.

Rough and Tumble offers several schools during the year with more info here.

Steam School registration for takes place Friday morning at the "Time of Harvest" show in November for the following year. We take the first 23 students to sign up. In 2016, the 2017 school filled in 55 minutes so be at the show grounds early to sign up. Steam School takes place the weekend after Spring Steam Up, rain or shine.

Students have the chance to operate 8 different steam traction engines and our two steam trains, "Little Toot" and the "Shay" as well as a steam roller and more. Our two day Steam School will be held Saturday May 15 and Sunday May 16,  2021. For more information on our next available 2022 school click here.

Admission is free to watch students learning to operate unique antique steam equipment. Class is rain or shine.
