Lewis (Louie) J. Frantz Jr., 80, entered into eternal rest with our Lord and Savior on Monday, January 16, 2017 at York Hospital with his loved ones gathered at his side. Born June 28, 1936, in Wrightsville, he was the son of the late Martha and Lewis P. Frantz Sr. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joy R. Frantz.

Louie was a retiree of DuPont Emigsville. He was a man with many collections, however he was a true green and yellow collector of John Deere. His passion was to collect old farm equipment and restore it to its original beauty. He spent many of his days in his shop working on his restoration projects and looking forward to his next project. Louie was a strong man with a love for life. He looked forward to live every day to its fullest and enjoyed visits from his friends and family when he would be working in the shop. He was excited to show his visitors what project he was working on and enjoy the conversation they shared. Louie had an unbelievable knowledge that many were eager to tap into.

Louie was a life time member and past president of the Rough and Tumble Engineers Historical Association in Kinzers. He was also a life time member of Early American Steam Engine Association. He was also a member of Waterloo Boys in Kinzers, Williams Grove Historical Steam Engine Association, South Mountain Antique Engine Association, Hershey Region Antique Automobile Club of America, Corn Items Collectors Association and Train Collectors Association.
