Harry K. Wilson, 87, of Lancaster, passed away at his home on Wednesday, January 1, 2014 while under the care of Hospice of Lancaster County and Elder Care. He was the beloved husband of Jacqueline Lindsay Wilson. Born at home near Atglen, PA, Harry was the son of the late Walter and Nora McMillan Wilson.

Harry and Jacqueline were married in 1949 and resided and farmed the Mt. Airy Farm near Atglen. Upon retiring from farming he was a rural mail carrier for Cochranville Post Office for 17 years. In 2001 they sold the farm and retired to Lancaster County.

He was a fifty year member and Past Master of the Skerrett Masonic Lodge #343 and a member of the Reading Consistory. In the past, he served as a Trustee of the Middle Octorara Presbyterian Church where he was a member for 65 years.

He was an avid sportsman who enjoyed small game and deer hunting. He also enjoyed membership in the New Holland Rod and Gun Club, the Paradise Sportsman Assoc., and the Runneymeade Gun Club. An enthusiastic Oliver Tractor owner, he belonged to the Rough and Tumble Historical Engineers Assoc., where he displayed his three Oliver Tractors and enjoyed the various contests; especially when he was a winner.

His family was the light of his life. Spending time with his wife, sons and grandchildren, his sisters and their families, he always had a story and a joke.

He is survived, in addition to his wife, by his two sons: Walter H. Wilson and wife Deborah of Lewes, DE and Ken Wilson of Christiana, PA, five grandchildren: Amy Townsend, Lindsay Wilson, Keegan Wilson, Connor Wilson and Bailey Wilson, one great granddaughter Nora Green, four sisters: Alma Thomas of Parkesburg, Ethel Rea of Ephrata, Becky Semple of Parkesburg and Joan Smith of Lancaster, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one sister Thelma Wentz.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at 11am at the Middle Octorara Presbyterian Church, 1199 Valley Road, Quarryville, PA 17566 followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery.
